Rosewood Doha has officially opened in Lusail, Qatar, becoming the brand’s third property in the Middle East, alongside those in Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. The new hotel features 155 guest rooms, 162 apartments, and 276 residences, along with eight dining concepts, extensive residential amenities, and the region’s first Asaya wellness club.
Situated in the heart of Lusail Waterfront Boulevard, the architectural design of the hotel is led by Qatari architect Ibrahim M. Jaidah, who has crafted a futuristic yet nature-inspired architectural marvel, reflecting a deep understanding of local culture, nature, and modern design.
A notable highlight of the hotel design is its harmonious interaction with the surrounding environment. The exterior is inspired by coral reefs, blending seamlessly with the nearby marine landscape. The building’s façade features a unique lattice design, creating captivating light and shadow effects during both day and night. The interior design, led by Lilian Wu, founder of Lilian Wu Studio, continues her signature style of sophistication and innovation. The interiors showcase an extraordinary luxurious atmosphere through a unique blend of traditional Arab elements and modern design concepts.
The hotel boasts eight distinct restaurants offering a diverse range of flavors, from traditional Arabic cuisine to global delicacies. It collaborates with local farms in Qatar as part of a sourcing partnership program, ensuring all ingredients come from sustainable and seasonal local sources.
The Asaya wellness club combines traditional Arab healing with modern health innovations, providing personalized wellness plans for guests. Offering everything from facials and restorative body treatments to mindfulness practices and movement therapy, it creates a fully customized, holistic wellness experience.
Rosewood Doha is not only a symbol of luxury and artistry but also embodies Qatar’s evolving culture and spirit of innovation. From architecture to design, dining to wellness, it constantly showcases the perfect fusion of tradition and modernity. As a key component of the Lusail development project, the hotel represents a new era of luxury living—one that emphasizes not just material indulgence but a profound understanding and respect for history, culture, and nature.
