Coming Soon: The New Edition of the Numeric 272

Following the release of the ‘Raso Gommato’ colorway of the 998 sneakers in collaboration with New Balance in March this year, Stone Island and New Balance are joining forces once again. On June 18, they will launch the first model from the Numeric skateboarding line, combining the nautical-inspired Stone Island Marina diffusion line with New Balance Numeric’s skate crew.

This edition of the Numeric 272 introduces a construction unlike anything New Balance has made before. The vulcanised shoe features an outsole designed to enhance board feel and reduce impact, with light-reactive materials, STONE ISLAND MARINA branding, and colourways in white, blue, and yellow that reflect elements from the seasonal sub-collection.

For this release, Stone Island Marina has added its unique touch to the Numeric 272, typically regarded as a budget-friendly option for skaters. This version elevates the shoe in several distinctive ways. Firstly, its upper is divided into two separate parts: a lower section made of gray suede and an upper section featuring white textile. On the lateral side of the midfoot, there is a gray “N” logo, while the medial side omits this logo in favor of two ventilation eyelets positioned just above the off-white vulcanized sole to enhance breathability. The textured tongue showcases tonal Stone Island Marina branding, and the heel features blue accents representing both brands.
