Resale prices of Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago” skyrockets

Off-White founder and designer Virgil Abloh sadly passed yesterday, 28/11/2021, at age 41 following a long battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. 

The highly-awaited brand collaboration, initially released in 2017 for $190 USD, started being resold just hours after news broke of the designers death. Sellers were listing the exclusive trainers for up to $10,000 USD.

Abloh was an acclaimed menswear designer and Louis Vuitton’s first black artistic director, as well as founder and CEO of Off-White.

Messages have flooded in from friends, family and colleagues as well as high profile names like the Kardashians and Drake. French fashion house’s parent company LVMH described Abloh as a “genius” and a “visionary”.
