Over 40 homes were evacuated as over 100 firefighters battled a huge fire.
It was reported that West Midlands Fire Service sent 22 appliances to Pentos Drive, Sparkhill, at the height of the fire, which began at around 11pm last night.
The fire involved a large quantity of pallets, residents in the area were advised to keep windows and doors shut because of the smoke logging in the area.
“At approximately 11pm we were called to reports of a factory fire.”
“At the height of the fire there were 22 fire engines and over 100 firefighters dealing with the fire and specialist equipment.
“We got to the scene in under four-minutes.”
Firefighters will be on site for most of the day. The investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
