The Weeknd Teases New NFT Song To Be Released

The Weeknd is the newest member to join the NFT craze as he teased the release of a brand new song as a non-fungible token.

The artist took to social media to announce the news, although the track title and release date is yet to be released. “New song living in NFT space. coming soon…” he wrote.

He clarified in a separate tweet that the song will still be part of his After Hours era. He added, “[P.S.] this chapter isn’t quite done yet …” and “still tying some loose ends.”

His latest album was recently certified as a double platinum record by the RIAA. The Weeknd also confirmed that the After Hours tracks “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights” are now double-platinum and 7x platinum singles, with the latter making history as the first song to ever spend a whole year in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10.
