Blue Ivy Receives Her First Grammy Nomination

Blue Ivy Carter has made by being the youngest Grammy nominee ever, she has received her first ever nod for her participation in Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl.”

According to sources, the Recording Academy updated the Best Music Video nomination for “Brown Skin Girl” to include Blue Ivy and WizKid. Both the artist and Blue Ivy were originally not included in the November 2020 nominees announcement.

“Brown Skin Girl” has given Blue Ivy a NAACP Image Award, BET Award (the youngest person to ever receive one) and a Soul Train Award. The track is a cut from Beyoncé’s 2019 soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift.
