Kanye Faces $1M Lawsuit Over Unpaid Wages

It has now been reported that Kanye West is now facing a lawsuit over unpaid wages from his opera performance back in 2019 (Nebuchadnezzar). Employees from the show have now filed a lawsuit as they claim they were never paid for their involvements towards the show.

The opera performance Nebuchadnezzar was a Vanessa Beecroft directed opera which was exclusively streamed on Tidal.

Documents from the lawsuit note that Kanye “failed to properly compensate [them] and many dozens of other persons who performed services on the production, including the background actors, performing as audience members.” Going on to add, “defendants oversaw, controlled and ran the production, and the aggrieved employees worked many hours on the production and were not timely paid for their work, or paid at all.”

As it stands, Kanye and his team are yet to respond to the claims and lawsuit.
