Drake Sells Over 1 Million ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ Units

It’s no surprise that Drake’s non-studio album ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ has sold over 1 million units in the US alone, adding another platinum plaque to OVO’s collection. This milestone might not seem like anything new to some, but the milestone is impressive once you realise the album was comprised of loosies, SoundCloud demos and cuts that never saw an official release.

The mixtape was curated by Oliver el-Khatib and OVO Noel, and dropped in May 2020. The album included features from Playboi Carti, Young Thug, Future, Giveon and Chris Brown. Dark Laane Demo Tapes serves as a prelude to his sixth upcoming studio album Certified Lover Boy, which is set to drop in 2021.
