Play Spotify on Your Apple Watch Without Your iPhone

Thanks to Spotify’s new Apple Watch app update, you will now be able to listen to your favourite podcasts or music without having to connect to your iPhone.

All users will now be able to stream playlists through the app directly, all that’s required in WiFi or internet data. Spotify are looking at “developing experiences that enable users to listen to Spotify wherever and whenever they want — regardless of the device or platform.” However, the app is still in the beta stages but will soon become accessible after the initial testing is cleared.

“After an initial testing period, we are now rolling out streaming capabilities for Spotify on the Apple Watch.”

The feature is not yet available for offline listening, however users can enable LTE on their Apple Watches for a similar experience.
