Apple reveal the new iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max

The new iPhone has finally been announced, with improved cameras, 5G capabilities and new photography features. The Pro and Pro Max both have premium high end materials, such as “surgical-grad stainless steel band and a precision-milled matte glass back,” plus a new ceramic shield front cover that improves toughness and increases drop performance by 4x.

Both phones are available in four colours: Silver, Graphite, Gold, and the new Pacific Blue hue.

Both devices also include 5g capabilities with the ability to offer worldwide coverage. The smart phones also utilise the A14 bionic processor, and a Super Retina XDR display. The triple camera still remains to be a regular feature on the Pro line, but this time it includes a 12-megapixel wide, and 52mm focal length telephoto. The Pro Max offers a new 12MP telephoto with a 65mm focal length.

NEW FEATURE ALERT
“Apple ProRaw” is a feature that is expected to arrive for both devices later this year. Its purpose is to further enhance exiting computational photography mechanics found in the new iPhone 12 line. This includes improving Smart HDR and Deep Fusion. In simple terms, it allows users to adjust the sharpness and colour highlights while still taking advantage of the original photography elements incorporated by Apple.

The iPhone 12 Pro is set to be released on October 23, with preorders going line on October 16. Pricing starts at £999. The iPhone 12 Pro Max will be released on November 12, with preorders going live on November 6. Pricing starts at £1,099.
